The Room To Breathe project is LIVE!

Teachers are our hardest workers and most unappreciated assets. They mold the future generations that will form all facets of society. If we want to create a mindful generation, we need to start by taking care of our teachers and educators. OpenMIND has developed the Room To Breathe project that creates a calming space within local schools in North Dakota for teachers to take some time to themselves and care for their own mental well being. A Mental health resource in north dakota

Welcome to OpenMIND. We’re a family based NPO in North Dakota devoted to promoting mental health in our community. We started on this journey when we tragically lost our brother, Lee, to suicide in 2010.

Our goal is to provide resources to families, educators, and others who want to change the stigma around suicide, depression, and North Dakota mental health issues and together build a healthier culture. We want to make the process of getting help much easier for those who need it most.

Together we can create a healthier community and help prevent this type of indescribable pain for others. Come join us on this great adventure of life.

Those left behind are faced with an incredible amount of pain, questions, and doubts. Facing each new day without your loved one is hard, and those left behind often question what they could have done differently.

We’ve had to go through this firsthand ourselves and we’re compiling a couple of resources which we hope prove to be helpful.
